A Story We Tell Ourselves is coming soon.

You haven’t heard from me in a few weeks. I’m big on keeping my mouth shut if I don’t have anything so say—everyone gets plenty of emails without my nonsense clogging up the inbox—but I have something to say!

The page art for A Story We Tell Ourselves is finished! Anna turned in the last pages with my few fiddly corrections a few days ago and we’ve moved on to lettering and cover design. I am setting my sights on a June launch if things progress well.

You guys, this project keeps getting cooler the farther along it comes and I’m really excited to see what everyone thinks. It isn’t easy keeping it so close to the vest.

Thus far, I’ve only posted a few out of context panels. Since I haven’t posted in so long, it seemed like a good opportunity to share a few unlettered pages.

A Story We Tell Ourselves will be released on this Substack soon. If you'd like to support the comic financially, you can pledge using the below button. Be aware that Substack sets the minimum pledge at $5.

Once Story starts, your pledge will automatically convert into a paid subscription at the frequency and amount you pledged. When the comic concludes, subscriptions will be turned off.

Alternately, I’ve set up a kofi account where you can donate whatever amount you want.

A Story We Tell Ourselves should run for about five or six weeks, about one month. In six-page installments.

Regardless of whether anyone chooses to pledge, Story will be openly accessible to all, and any funds generated will be reinvested into paying artists to make more comics.
